The
society Matilde di Canossa S.p.A. is a real "territorial
society" working for a large region of hills and
mountains laying between the Valleys of the Parma, the
Enza and the Secchia, between four towns (Parma, Reggio
Emilia, Modena and Ferrara) and twenty-two municipalities.
Founded around the castle of Canossa on the 5 March 1994,
it was born as a mixt society, half private half public
capital, with a prevalence of the last, to bring out and
promote the value of the matildic land following some
unitarian homogeneous values, trying to find a synergic
action between private and public, following the law of
the Regione Emilia Romagna n. 44 of the 1989. It is a
new experience, one of the main actions of the region,
if you consider its territorial dimensions and the number
of the administrations implied. The constitution of such
a society required a consistent continuative engagement
as to reach a solid and homogeneous organizational structure.
The Board of Directors of the Society prepared a special
office for the public relations of the society in San
Polo d'Enza (Re) in piazza Sartori, 8.
The Society aims at promoting the matildic areas, at supporting
their cultural values, at preparing some strategies for
a Territorial Operative Project, at elaborating some publications,
and finally at implying actively some societies and associations
of the area in the promotion of this territory. We still
consider the opportunity of contracting special conventions
with Public administrations and private partners. At the
moment the main achievement would be the financial-economical
optimization, the finishing and strenghtening of the organizational
structures and the encouraging of the private supporters
through an adequate publication of the name and symbol
"Society Matilde di Canossa". Between the promotional
initiatives realised by the society we can mention the
publication of a Map of the Matildic Land, with itineraries
and references for the information. Through the implication
of the contractor forces the society aims at intensifying
the programme of the initiatives and at the national promotion
of the territory.
