Vezzano lies
on the ancient way leading to Pecorile, Canossa and to the old
road to Cerreto (statale 63). It is a comfortable starting point
for many walks: the Puianello-Canossa; the equipped way parallel
to the river Crostolo; the Vezzano-Pecorile ring, the Monte
Duro ring. These walks, and some other minor ways you can find
on the detailed maps of the municipality, let you discover some
fascinating peaks like the monte del Gesso, the severe calanques
-inhabited by thousands of moufflons-, or some villages characterised
by tower houses: Sedrio, Montalto, Cavazzone, Riolo. A very
attracting ressource is the regional park, along the statale
63, not far from the town, visited by many families attracted
by the equipped areas, by the pine-forest, and by the small
zoo of local fauna.
